The Symondsbury Estate in Bridport is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, only a few miles from the Jurassic Coast which has World Heritage status.  The Market town of Bridport is 2 miles away and offers a wonderful variety of shops and restaurants to suit all your needs as well as a traditional street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are many outlets supplying local produce and a regular monthly Farmers markets in the centre of the town.

The sandy beaches of West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis, as well as, the small coves at Eype and Seatown are all within easy reach, offering breath-taking coastal walks, fossil hunting, fishing/angling trips, scuba diving, paragliding, river boating, power boat trips, golf and much more.

Visitors and people living in the village are encouraged to share the beauty and charm of Symondsbury, with its church [the date of its construction is not known, but the first Rector of whom there is a record came in 1325], 16th century thatched pub and yellow stone cottages.    There are many public footpaths across the Estate that allows you to explore geology-rich locations such as Sluice and Watton Hill.  The Symondsbury Estate has plans to offer guided tours to highlight the area’s flora and fauna.  Walks will be provided through woodlands and most significantly, to the area’s ‘signature’ beauty spot, Colmers Hill.
